Pay It Forward...

I got this idea from a high school pal...she was always such a sweet gal.
SO--Here's how it works-the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment here, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going. Then come back, let me know you're going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift! Remember that only the first 3 comments will receive a gift from me, so be quick!
It sounds like a fun idea so I thought I'd give it a try too...thanks for playing.....

Happy Birthday JP!

JP turned seven today!! He gets tired of hearing the "Seven years ago today, we went to the hospital and got a surprise..." story. He had a good day of cupcakes, cake, ice cream, and fun presents.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Nativity.... This is the Nativity from Mac's family. I always enjoy setting it up.
I love looking at the Christmas tree in the dark.... especially after Santa has arrived. Notice the awesome mittens that my mom made for the kids. Long story on that one, but we filled them up and they are better than stockings!
JP spots his new bike...

Seneca and her dollhouse...

Racecars held the attention for most of the morning.... lip juice works just as well on the tracks.

Christmas with the McCalls....

Christmas at the Reeds......

Lots of Christmas fun!

Always on his mind...

I took this picture while Mac was in the Academy. He was exhausted and fell asleep on the couch. Can you tell what he must have been dreaming about? I'll give you a hint.... He is a gunsmith and now he is in law enforcement...

Seneca.... my sweet little girl

I had to share some things about my Seneca. She says the funniest things. The other night, we were in the church bathroom stall while she was going potty. Seneca likes to keep an eye on what goes on down there. When she had one little poopy out she says, "Look Mom! Da Baby! See it's blanket?" Once the big one came out she says, "Look Mom! It's the DADDY!"

She loved being Pocahontas for Halloween.

When I call for her to come closer to me (this happened at Safeway, as well as at home), she'll yell, "What Mom? I can't HEAR you!!"

She loves all of her cousins. She loves going to Grandma's house (both of them).

She loves to mark on herself and anything around her.

She loves Cinderella and getting her hair done. She loves watching movies on my Smartboard at school. She loves the dolphins on the toilet lid at the Sorenson's. She loves Lella (Cinderella). She loves to say "Daddy's home!"

Seneca likes to come and tattle that everyone is being mean. I usually hear "Momma, Dad's mean" or "Momma, JP's being mean." Today she was sticking out her tongue and blowing spit at herself in the mirror and saying, "You're mean. How come you're being mean?"

She likes to follow JP around and do exactly what he is doing, She loves her brother. Mac has a great time sword fighting and wrestling with her on his days off. She likes her babies and blankets, but she has a great time with the boy toys and knows the names of all the super heroes. Seneca likes to play dress up in JP's undies just to hear him holler about it. She likes to run around in her Dora panties. She loves our dog Pepper.

Seneca is very touchy-feely. She loves to stroke my arm and if I have a long sleeved shirt on, she'll demand I pull it up. She'll say, " I want arm!" She wakes up in the night moaning... "my momma, my momma" I get her into my bed with me to cuddle & get my arm massaged. She proceeds to give my face and ear lobes the touch massage too, just to make sure I don't go anywhere.

Tonight, while I was reading to JP she came in to announce, "It's stuck, Mamma!" I didn't figure it out until she showed me this....

It took a lot of patience, conditioner, and another comb to get it out without cutting her hair. But I did it! Good thing she is not tender headed. She didn't cry once & sat there the whole time I tugged and pulled to set that little black comb free.
I love this little girl!

Santa came to town...

We went to our ward party tonite & the kids sat with Santa after watching some very impressive Hawaiian dancing and a Christmas program. I won't describe Seneca's baby poops with a blanket & daddy poops in the same paragraph, but let's just say she's close to being a potty trained little girl.
