Seneca.... my sweet little girl

I had to share some things about my Seneca. She says the funniest things. The other night, we were in the church bathroom stall while she was going potty. Seneca likes to keep an eye on what goes on down there. When she had one little poopy out she says, "Look Mom! Da Baby! See it's blanket?" Once the big one came out she says, "Look Mom! It's the DADDY!"

She loved being Pocahontas for Halloween.

When I call for her to come closer to me (this happened at Safeway, as well as at home), she'll yell, "What Mom? I can't HEAR you!!"

She loves all of her cousins. She loves going to Grandma's house (both of them).

She loves to mark on herself and anything around her.

She loves Cinderella and getting her hair done. She loves watching movies on my Smartboard at school. She loves the dolphins on the toilet lid at the Sorenson's. She loves Lella (Cinderella). She loves to say "Daddy's home!"

Seneca likes to come and tattle that everyone is being mean. I usually hear "Momma, Dad's mean" or "Momma, JP's being mean." Today she was sticking out her tongue and blowing spit at herself in the mirror and saying, "You're mean. How come you're being mean?"

She likes to follow JP around and do exactly what he is doing, She loves her brother. Mac has a great time sword fighting and wrestling with her on his days off. She likes her babies and blankets, but she has a great time with the boy toys and knows the names of all the super heroes. Seneca likes to play dress up in JP's undies just to hear him holler about it. She likes to run around in her Dora panties. She loves our dog Pepper.

Seneca is very touchy-feely. She loves to stroke my arm and if I have a long sleeved shirt on, she'll demand I pull it up. She'll say, " I want arm!" She wakes up in the night moaning... "my momma, my momma" I get her into my bed with me to cuddle & get my arm massaged. She proceeds to give my face and ear lobes the touch massage too, just to make sure I don't go anywhere.

Tonight, while I was reading to JP she came in to announce, "It's stuck, Mamma!" I didn't figure it out until she showed me this....

It took a lot of patience, conditioner, and another comb to get it out without cutting her hair. But I did it! Good thing she is not tender headed. She didn't cry once & sat there the whole time I tugged and pulled to set that little black comb free.
I love this little girl!

Santa came to town...

We went to our ward party tonite & the kids sat with Santa after watching some very impressive Hawaiian dancing and a Christmas program. I won't describe Seneca's baby poops with a blanket & daddy poops in the same paragraph, but let's just say she's close to being a potty trained little girl.

Mac Graduated!!

Mac finally graduated from the Police Academy. We spent the last week with him, met some of his friends, watched him treat his big ol' blister, and enjoyed the graduation ceremony. Now we are happy he is home.

lame update...

I haven't posted any Halloween pictures and probably won't. I'm having too much fun labeling all of my future homework for my students with state standards. But I do have time to update a little.

JP is sick today and came to my classroom with bright red cheeks and glazed over eyes. He and I agreed he was running a fever even though he says the nurse's thermometer at school "kept telling her different things". A nice lady at school noticed he didn't look so good and asked if he had a cold. He (very seriously) replied "No, I have a hot."

Mac is graduating next week. I am taking the kids down to the Valley to spend most of the week with him at his second home. JP has been keeping track of the countdown of Dad being done with the academy.

Seneca is growing up and has been lots of fun. She talks a lot and is interested in anything she can take away from JP. Seneca loves to play with Coltrin. She had a great time at Grandma Doris's house making cookies and watching movies last week. Grandma was all ready and prepared to let her cut out cookies. Eating them was the best part (for me, at least!)

kids are so funny...

Yesterday, JP was angry that I was making him go home from my classroom. He wanted to stay and play with the other boys. With the meanest look he could make, this is what he told me- "Mom, I'm gonna get a loyer and loy you!" I think he was trying to repeat his dad's teasing and say he was gonna get a lawyer and sue me.

Today we were buying milk at the grocery store. JP thinks every time we go to a store that he should get something. After his begs failed the whole way through the store, he was making one last plea for bubblegum at the checkout. Seneca joins in and says "I want some buggabum, I want some buggabum!"

always behind on something....

School started and I was behind on my blog posts. I keep getting more and more behind, but I'll update a little. JP loves first grade. He usually forgets something at school or on the bus or on the wall somewhere in between- his agenda, homework, jacket, or lunchbox. He seems to enjoy himself and has lots to say about how good he is in class. He is doing soccer on Wednesdays & Saturdays; he also has gymnastics on Thursdays. Seneca is getting along well staying with her grandma most days. She likes to wear her cowboy hat since her cousin does too. Mac is still working hard and came home after ten weeks with new blisters! I am having a good time with my new and challenging class. I am helping out with gymnastics on Thursday nights and learning that I better get in shape fast to be of any help. I'll be posting pictures as soon as I can get my own computer back.

Fourth of July in Round Valley 2008

At the parade, we enjoyed Sonic drinks, sitting on the sidewalk with cousins and friends, caught frisbees and candy, watched floats, camels, a big longhorn, George Washington, and even helicopters!! We went to eat BBQ with Mac's fam, finally got to take a big nap, then the kids enjoyed popcorn & watching traffic in the evening.
